EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: East Ayton, North Yorkshire
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to support early learners in a specialist setting in East Ayton. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys creative, play-based learning and supporting children with emerging developmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage pupils in early phonics, number work and sensory play

• Support structured routines to maintain a calm environment

• Encourage early language development and communication

• Assist teachers with planning and resource preparation

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Requirements

• Experience within EYFS or nursery settings

• Knowledge of early SEND needs

• Warm, patient and child-centred

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
