SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Scalby, North Yorkshire
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026
GSL Education are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist provision in the Scalby area. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with additional needs or is eager to start a meaningful career within the SEN sector.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEN needs in both 1:1 and classroom settings

Help implement personalised learning plans

Encourage independence, confidence and self-regulation

Promote positive behaviour using agreed strategies

Assist with resources, planning and assessment
Requirements

Experience supporting learners with SEND

Strong understanding of autism and behaviour needs

Calm, proactive and empathetic approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
