Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5 & S9)
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking to inspire pupils and make a real impact in the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield?
GSL Education are seeking experienced English Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield (S5 & S9). This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, develop pupils’ literacy and analytical skills, and support their academic progress.
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements for the role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching English at school level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for motivating and inspiring young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
