Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to work within secondary schools across the S2 and S3 areas. This role is ideal for someone who can make geographical concepts engaging, support students in developing analytical skills, and foster a love of the subject.
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured lessons, encourage critical thinking, and create a classroom environment where students feel confident exploring complex topics. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively and consistently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach geography across Key Stages with well-planned, accessible lessons.
- Support students in developing map skills, data analysis, and environmental awareness.
- Provide constructive feedback to help pupils improve their understanding and performance.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a Geography Teacher.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to supporting students of varying abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- A professional and proactive approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
