Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to work within secondary schools across the S2 and S3 areas. This role is ideal for someone who can motivate pupils, deliver engaging lessons, and promote health and fitness.

As a Physical Education Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured lessons across a variety of sports and activities, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and physical competence. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality PE curriculum is delivered consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach physical education across Key Stages with well-planned, accessible lessons.
  • Support students in developing fitness, skills, and teamwork.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help pupils improve their performance.
  • Manage behaviour and maintain a safe, focused learning environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and support extra-curricular activities.
  • Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a PE Teacher.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to supporting students of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A professional and proactive approach to safeguarding and school policies.
