Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to support secondary schools across the S2 and S3 postcodes. This role is ideal for someone who can simplify technical concepts and inspire pupils to explore computing with confidence.

As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will design structured lessons, encourage problem-solving, and promote digital literacy across different year groups. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the computing curriculum is taught effectively and supports student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach computing across Key Stages with clear, well-planned lessons.
  • Support students in developing programming, analytical and technological skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help pupils improve their understanding and performance.
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused classroom environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Monitor pupil progress and keep accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a Computer Science Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to supporting students across different ability levels.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A professional and proactive approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
