Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to support secondary schools across the S2 and S3 postcodes. This role is ideal for someone who can inspire pupils, build their confidence, and deliver high-quality lessons in the performing arts.

As a Drama Teacher, you will guide students through scripted and devised work, help them develop essential communication skills, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the drama curriculum is delivered effectively and offers meaningful learning experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-planned drama lessons across Key Stages, including practical and theory-based work.
  • Support students in developing performance techniques and collaborative skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help pupils refine their acting and creative abilities.
  • Maintain a focused classroom atmosphere using effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, productions, and enrichment activities.
  • Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a Drama Teacher.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to supporting students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A professional and proactive approach to safeguarding and school expectations.
