Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a passionate Art Teacher who enjoys helping young people express themselves through creativity?

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Art Teacher to support a vibrant school across the S2 and S3 postcodes. This position is ideal for someone who can encourage imaginative thinking and guide pupils in expressing their ideas through a range of creative techniques.

In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons, introduce students to different art forms, and create an environment where creative exploration is valued. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is taught effectively and that students are supported in their artistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach art across Key Stages through structured, creative lessons.
  • Encourage students to experiment with materials, techniques, and styles.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help pupils refine their work.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused classroom.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and discussions.
  • Track student progress and keep accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as an Art Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to supporting learners with a range of abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A proactive and professional approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
