GSL Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in Scunthorpe. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about improving the lives and learning experiences of children with complex needs.
About the Role:
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional care, emotional support, and personalised learning approaches. You will support teaching staff in delivering tailored activities, encouraging independence, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for each learner.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience within the care sector is essential, particularly supporting individuals with additional or complex needs.

Experience working with children—either in education, care, youth work, or similar roles—is highly desirable.

A calm, patient and resilient approach when supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, medical needs, or sensory impairments.

Someone able to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.

Assisting with personal care tasks where required.

Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage positively in learning.

Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care and education.
