PMLD Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Location: Tower Hamlets
Pay: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Immediate Start

Your Mission as a PMLD Teaching Assistant

In this role, you’ll become an essential source of stability, care, and encouragement for some of the school’s most vulnerable learners. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personalised care and learning support to pupils with complex needs.

  • Assist with communication programs, sensory activities, and engagement tasks.

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support plans.

  • Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment.

  • Support students with mobility, physical needs, and personal care routines.

Every day, your presence as a PMLD Teaching Assistant will help pupils build trust, confidence, and comfort in their learning world.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you should bring:

  • Experience within SEND (PMLD, SLD, or complex needs preferred).

  • Patience, compassion, and a calm, resilient nature.

  • A willingness to support personal care and medical needs.

  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
