Job description
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in the Maldon area. This is a full-time, long-term position, starting as soon as possible, with the expectation that the successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, planning, and assessment across KS3 and KS4.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and motivated teacher who is passionate about engaging students in Food Technology and promoting hands-on learning in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons.

Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements.

Create a supportive and safe kitchen/classroom environment for all learners.

Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students.

Work collaboratively with the Technology department to support wider curriculum initiatives.

Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and hygiene at all times.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.

Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.

Ability to plan effective lessons and manage practical classroom environments.

Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

A positive, energetic, and committed approach to teaching.
