Exciting Opportunity for a Maths Teacher in Lewisham!
GSL Education London Branch are looking for a Maths Teacher to work at a co-educational secondary school in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who enjoys inspiring students and bringing numbers to life in the classroom.
The school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the option to take on additional days as a General Supply Teacher if desired. The ideal Maths Teacher will have strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.

Assess, record and report on students’ progress regularly.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Support students in developing confidence and enthusiasm for Maths.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to department planning.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progress.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4.

Previous experience working as a Maths Teacher in a UK secondary school (preferred).

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.

Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
