Location: Lewisham
Salary: £155 - £240 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term, Part Time

Exciting Opportunity for a Maths Teacher in Lewisham! 

GSL Education London Branch are looking for a Maths Teacher to work at a co-educational secondary school in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who enjoys inspiring students and bringing numbers to life in the classroom. 

The school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the option to take on additional days as a General Supply Teacher if desired. The ideal Maths Teacher will have strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.

  • Assess, record and report on students’ progress regularly.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support students in developing confidence and enthusiasm for Maths.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to department planning.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Previous experience working as a Maths Teacher in a UK secondary school (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.

  • Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
