Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education is seeking motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to join schools across Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and wish to develop a career in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll manage classrooms, deliver pre-set work, and support students’ learning during teacher absences – ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise students in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Encourage student engagement, participation, and positive attitudes toward learning.
- Provide feedback to teachers about student progress and classroom activity.
- Support pupils in maintaining focus and completing assigned work.
- Uphold school values, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders as needed.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who has :
- Previous experience in an educational or youth setting is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and take initiative when needed.
- A passion for helping young people succeed.
- Degree qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
