Full-Time Art Teacher – Fareham, Hampshire
GSL Education are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Fareham, starting from January 2026. This is a full time role and a permanent contract on offer after a probation period has been worked. The school welcomes applications from both Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. A school tour is available before being invited back to the school for a more formal interview process. Interviews are to take place over the next few weeks.
As an Art Teacher, you will inspire and nurture students’ creativity, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative lesson plans, assess student progress, and contribute to the growth of a dynamic and supportive Art department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a meaningful impact in a school that values the arts and supports professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and dynamic Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages students to explore various artistic techniques and concepts.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting.
- A strong passion for art and a commitment to nurturing students’ creativity.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
