GSL is pleased to announce some of the exciting things happening this Autumn at The Regent Academy, the exclusive International College set up by GSL Education in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In addition to a very busy start to a new academic year, this week Mr. James Anthony Ormandy began his position as the new Principal of the Academy.
Mr. Ormandy originally hails from Chester, England. He is an experienced Economics, Business Studies, Accounting and Physical Education Teacher and has held Qualified Teacher Status in the UK since 1982. Mr. Ormandy is also an avid Hockey enthusiast and a Hockey trainer. Mr. Ormandy has taught at several well known Sixth form colleges in the North of England as a Teacher and A level Examiner of Economics and Business Studies. He has also served as Manager, Director, Quality Manager and Marketing Coordinator. In addition he has previously lectured Economics at the University of Hull.
Mr. Ormandy is extremely keen to be in Bangladesh and is enthusiastic about this opportunity to teach at the Regent Academy. We are all looking forward to seeing the Regent Academy grow under Mr. Ormandy’s direction and wish the best of luck to him and to all of the students and our friends in Bangladesh this term.
