Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on Experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long Term, Full time / Part time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Scunthorpe, providing vital support to pupils from EYFS through to KS2.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers to ensure pupils receive the best possible educational experience. You will support both whole-class learning and individual needs, creating a positive and inclusive environment that helps every child thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide classroom support to pupils across EYFS – KS2.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions to reinforce learning.
  • Assist in preparing teaching resources and classroom activities.
  • Encourage pupil participation and promote positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Experience supporting children in EYFS – KS2.
  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed in education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
