Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Wakefield, WF1
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day
Start Date: Immeidate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in the Wakefield area. This is a rewarding opportunity to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop essential skills, and succeed in their learning journey.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Develop and implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents/carers.
- Ensure a consistent focus on safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
