Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S13)
Salary: £95–£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long Term, Full time / Part time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work with schools in Sheffield.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. You will deliver tailored interventions, mentor individuals, and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support to pupils.
- Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development.
- Encourage positive attitudes to learning and self-confidence.
- Monitor pupil behaviour and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
- Prepare and organise resources to support behavioural interventions.
- Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
- Participate in school trips and extracurricular programmes.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Develop behaviour plans and contribute to their consistent implementation.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
- Experience working with children in a UK school or similar setting.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting pupils.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, Level 4 mentoring, or equivalent (desirable).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
