Maths Teacher – SEMH School
Location: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire
Contract: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £140 - £190 per day (in line with experience and pay scale)

GSL Education is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Scunthorpe. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher in an SEMH environment, you’ll be delivering creative and engaging lessons that make maths accessible, fun, and relevant to learners who may have struggled in mainstream education. You’ll play a vital role in helping students gain confidence, resilience, and essential numeracy skills.
Responsibilities:
✔ Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4 students
✔ Use strategies to manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment
✔ Support students’ personal development alongside their academic progress
✔ Work collaboratively with SEN specialists and pastoral staff
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✅ Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum at KS3/KS4 level
✅ Experience working with SEMH needs or a willingness to learn
✅ Patience, adaptability, and a passion for making a difference
