Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long Term, Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to students’ learning journeys, while working in a friendly and collaborative school setting.

About the Role:

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping students succeed both academically and personally. You will support teachers in delivering lessons, provide targeted support to individual students, and create a positive and encouraging classroom environment.

Responsibilities of a Classroom Support Assistant:

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need additional help.
  • Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support the implementation of learning activities and behaviour management strategies.

Classroom Support Assistant Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Previous experience supporting children in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply).
