Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop
Salary: £83 – £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide vital support in schools across Worksop.
This role is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while helping students to achieve their potential in a supportive learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers with classroom activities, assisting students with their learning, and ensuring that every child feels engaged and encouraged in their education. You will also contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive academically and personally.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students to reinforce learning.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Help prepare teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and report observations to teachers.
- Offer extra support to students who may need additional guidance.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as break or lunch.
Teaching Assistant(TA) Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable).
- Previous experience working with children in schools or similar settings as a Teaching Assistant or a similar role.
- A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire young learners.
- A genuine interest in supporting the educational development of students.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
