SEN Teacher – Tower Hamlets

Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm
Salary: £150 – £240 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

GSL Education is seeking a committed and creative SEN Teacher to work at a specialist school in Tower Hamlets. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.00pm, teaching students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

What the Role Involves:

  • Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons designed to meet a wide range of learning needs.

  • Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued.

  • Leading a team of Learning Support Assistants to provide consistent, high-quality support.

  • Monitoring pupil progress carefully and adapting teaching methods where needed.

  • Promoting both academic achievement and social development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils, preferably in a special school setting.

  • Strong ability to manage behaviour positively and adapt strategies to suit each child.

  • A caring, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • Availability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, 8.30am–4.00pm.

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
