Job Title: RE Teacher
Location: Penistone (S36)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and inspiring RE Teacher committed to engaging students in religious education and ethical discussions?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join a school in the Penistone (S36) area. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver thought-provoking lessons, encourage critical thinking, and help students explore moral, spiritual, and cultural perspectives.


As an RE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to explore religious, moral, and ethical issues thoughtfully and respectfully.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students feel valued.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities or school events related to RE and cultural understanding.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding.


Requirements for RE Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of different abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
