Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Maltby (S66)
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in the Maltby (S66) area. This is a rewarding opportunity to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every pupil can thrive, build confidence, and achieve academic and personal growth.


As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
  • Develop and implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide consistent, holistic support.
  • Monitor progress, adapting teaching approaches and strategies where needed.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and classroom management.


Requirements for SEMH Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse learner needs.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
