Job Title: SEN Teacher

Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?
GSL Education are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in the Snalth (DN14 6) area. This role of SEN TA provides a rewarding opportunity to design and deliver personalised learning plans, support pupils’ academic and emotional development, and create a safe, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Monitor and track pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting strategies where needed.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and pupil welfare at all times.
Requirements for SEN Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt to meet diverse learner needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
