Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Snaith (DN14)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Snalth (DN14 6) area. This role of SEMH TA provides a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage positively in their education and develop essential social and emotional skills.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist in implementing individualised behaviour and learning plans.
- Build trusting relationships to encourage pupils’ engagement and confidence.
- Support teachers in maintaining a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Help pupils develop resilience, emotional regulation, and positive social skills.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained at all times.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
