Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Snaith (DN14 6)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in the Snalth (DN14 6) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.


As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • Assist in developing and implementing personalised behaviour support plans.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and positive learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a consistent support framework.
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and behaviour management.


Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to challenging situations.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
