Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Snalth (DN14 6) area. As an SEN TA, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist teachers in creating a supportive and accessible learning environment.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and follow behaviour management strategies.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil welfare.


Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
