Pay Rate: £95 – £130+ per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield. In this role of Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide crucial support to students with behavioural needs, helping them stay engaged in their learning while promoting positive behaviours and emotional development.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive behaviour choices.
- Help students develop coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.
- Support the classroom teacher in maintaining a calm and structured learning environment.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to behavioural support.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs or behavioural challenges is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude when supporting pupils.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with any gaps clearly explained.
