A welcoming primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Special Educational Needs (SEN), starting this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting a child’s development, both academically and socially, while being part of a friendly and supportive school community.
What You’ll Be Doing

Provide tailored 1:1 support to help the child engage with learning and school life.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans and strategies.

Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

Adapt activities and resources to meet the child’s individual needs.

Build a strong, trusting relationship with the child and their family.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or childcare setting.

A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning.

Ability to work as part of a team with teachers and other staff.

Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
