Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Pay Rate: £95–£105 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield, S10 area. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role provides the opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop positive attitudes, self-regulation, and essential social skills.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
- Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and self-regulation.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide individualised support.
- Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support pupils’ holistic development.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to behaviour management.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
