We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming pre-school in Brentwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner who is passionate about early years education and enjoys supporting children in their learning and development.

You will be working as part of a close-knit team, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for children aged 2–5 years.

Location: Brentwood area
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (with part-time hours)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: Part-time hours across 5 days per week
Requirements: Must be a driver | Level 2 or 3 in Childcare is essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of care, play and learning opportunities for all children.

  • Support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to promote each child’s wellbeing and progress.

  • Help to plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities.

  • Ensure that the pre-school environment is safe, welcoming and inclusive at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare (essential).

  • Previous experience working in an early years setting.

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

  • Must hold a valid driving licence and be able to commute to Brentwood.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
