Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Sheffield, S1
Pay Rate: £95 – £105 per day
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S1). In this role of Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop positive behaviours, self-regulation, and essential social skills to thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and social development.
- Support pupils in developing self-regulation, confidence, and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural or additional needs is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable in supporting children with varying needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
