SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield, S1
Pay Rate: £95 – £105 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S1). As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils requiring additional academic and behavioural support, helping them build confidence, independence, and achieve their learning goals.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN needs.
- Assist in implementing individualised learning plans in collaboration with class teachers and SENCOs.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable in supporting children with varying needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
