Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £83 – £95 per day

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. As a TA, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils, providing academic and emotional support to help them achieve their potential in a safe and inclusive environment.


Responsibilities
as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a nurturing classroom environment.
  • Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organised learning space.
  • Support pupils with varying needs to ensure an inclusive learning experience.


Requirements
for Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
