Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day

are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in the Bolsover (S44) area. As an SEN TA, this role is ideal for someone who is eager to make a difference by providing tailored support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.


Responsibilities
as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.
  • Support pupils with personal and social development in a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver effective support strategies.


Requirements
for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history with explanations for any gaps.
