Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Bolsover, S44
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in the Bolsover (S44) area. As an SEN TA, this role is ideal for someone who is eager to make a difference by providing tailored support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.
- Support pupils with personal and social development in a nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver effective support strategies.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history with explanations for any gaps.
