Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

As a Sports Coach, you will play a key role in delivering engaging physical education sessions tailored to the needs of secondary-aged students with diverse learning profiles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structured and inclusive sports sessions that cater to a range of abilities and interests.
  • Encourage students to develop positive habits around fitness, nutrition, and mental well-being.
  • Work alongside teachers, TAs, and pastoral teams to support holistic student development.
  • Track student engagement and progress and review meetings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a sports or educational setting is essential.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and energetic approach to mentoring.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for sport and youth development.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or training in physical education or youth work are advantageous.

To work with GSL Education as Sports Coach, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
