About the Role: The successful candidate will support learning through engaging, personalised activities and help create a safe, motivating environment for all nursery-aged students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in the nursery with daily learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
  • Assist in delivering a creative and engaging curriculum that encourages emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social skills through structured and play-based activities.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to foster a nurturing environment.
  • Observe, record, and report on children’s progress to inform planning and personalised support strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, ideally in a nursery or SEN setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive early years practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility to adapt support according to individual needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to support a positive and stimulating learning environment.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.

  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
