About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a vital role in helping students access education in a way that suits their individual needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being and independence of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support to students with SEN in classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet student needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
To work with GSL Education as a Learning Support Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
