Pay Rate: £90 – £130 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in the Tickhill (DN11) area. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role is perfect for someone passionate about helping students overcome behavioural and emotional challenges to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with behavioural or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
- Support teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils develop positive behaviours and self-regulation skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Previous experience in a school, youth work, or support environment.
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
