Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Tickhill, DN11
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Tickhill (DN11) area. As a 1:1 TA, this role involves providing personalised support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN), helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
- Assist with classroom tasks and adapt learning materials to support understanding.
- Encourage positive behaviour and build the pupil’s confidence and independence.
- Monitor progress and work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
- Support the pupil in managing emotional or behavioural challenges effectively.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational or care setting.
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and provide flexible support based on the pupil’s needs.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
