Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Tickhill, DN11
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a creative and innovative Design Technology Teacher ready to inspire students and help them bring their ideas to life?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join schools in the Tickhill (DN11) area. This is an exciting opportunity to engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of DT, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Engineering.
- Develop students’ practical skills while reinforcing health and safety in the workshop.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level assessments, ensuring they achieve their academic targets.
- Inspire creativity and innovative thinking in a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach DT across Key Stages is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and productive environment for practical work.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
