Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Crofton, WF4
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to work within schools in the Crofton (WF4) area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils with behavioural challenges build confidence, develop positive attitudes, and re-engage with their learning. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
  • Promote a positive and safe learning environment that encourages respect and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent support.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to help shape intervention strategies.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a school, youth work, or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, flexible, and supportive approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any employment gaps.
