Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield, S26
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield (S26) area. As an SEN TA, you will adapt learning materials, offer one-to-one or small group support, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Assist teachers in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support the delivery of tailored interventions and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
- Encourage the development of pupils’ confidence, social skills, and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide consistent support.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.
- Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A complete CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
