Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Killamarsh, S21
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Killamarsh (S21) area. As an SEN TA, this position is perfect for individuals looking to make a positive impact by providing tailored academic and emotional support to pupils with diverse needs.


Responsibilities
as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt resources where needed.
  • Encourage the development of social and emotional skills alongside academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.


Requirements
for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or school setting.
  • Awareness of conditions such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and a nurturing approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
