Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Crofton, WF4
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across the Crofton (WF4) area. As an SEN TA, you will provide vital support to children with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage in lessons, develop key skills, and build confidence.


Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Implement personalised learning plans and adapt materials where needed.
  • Support pupils in developing social and emotional skills, alongside academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure every child receives the right support.


Requirements
for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • Understanding of various special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
