Job Title: MFL Teacher

Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day

Are you a passionate and dynamic MFL Teacher with the ability to inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural awareness?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join schools in the Rotherham (S61) area. This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, promote a love for languages, and support pupils in achieving fluency and confidence in their chosen language(s).


Responsibilities as an MFL Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in one or more modern foreign languages.
  • Encourage pupils to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, respect, and cultural understanding.
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and work towards raising attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative resources and teaching strategies.
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management, behaviour, and safeguarding.


Requirements for MFL Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language (e.g. French, Spanish, German) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
  • A passion for inspiring young people to learn and appreciate languages.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
