Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £83 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. As a TA, this is an excellent opportunity to support pupils in their learning, assist teachers in the classroom, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
- Assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation, and general supervision.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and educational development.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
- Caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with gaps clearly explained.
