Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Bentley, DN5
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bentley, DN5. As an SEMH TA, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their emotions and behaviours, helping them succeed both academically and socially.
Responsibilities as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support students in emotional regulation.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to promote trust and engagement.
- Assist teachers in creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with parents, teaching staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
- A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach when working with students.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
