Pay Rate: £83– £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Chapeltown. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to engage positively in their learning and develop essential skills.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive choices.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent approaches to behaviour support.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs or behavioural challenges is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude in supporting pupils.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
